While he may not have had his name sung in the theme song, Chaka has taken a legendary place in the lore of Land of the Lost and in the minds of all the people who consider themselves fans of the show.

Chaka has been a cultural icon since he first shuffled through the forests and swamps of Sid and Marty Kroffts Land of the Lost in 1974.

Played by black belt Phillip Paley, Chaka has been mistakenly thought to have been portrayed by various people, from Clint Howard to the singer of the band Sugar Ray.

Phil won the role of Chaka in part due to his being the youngest black belt in US history at the time of his casting.
