Land of the Lost on DVD.

The four episodes on DVD number one include:

Release Date - July 25, 2000

On Monday, May 15th, I had the pleasure of attending the video taping of interviews with Phillip Paley and Kathy Coleman for the bonus DVD tracks to be included with the first Land of the Lost DVD to be put out by Rhino Home Video.

The shoot took place at Rhino's offices in Santa Monica California, and let me tell you, finer offices you would be hard pressed to find.

Let me throw out some mad love to Mark, Jeff, Andy and the rest of the Rhino crew who made our day a very cool one.

This whole event started to take shape a few weeks ago when Mark from Rhino contacted me about doing some interviews for the forthcoming DVD. I got in touch with Phil and Kathy and brought them into the project, and tried like crazy to get back in touch with Spencer without any luck. Wesley had been contacted by Rhino but his busy schedule precluded any participation this time around.

Thankfully I remembered my camera this time, so expect to see some cool shots of the interview when the local photo shop develops those suckers.

Phillip and Kathy were seated side by side, and were asked questions about the show, their antics on and off the set, and about their lives today. The whole shoot lasted about 2 hours and was interrupted frequently when all of us on the set would burst out laughing with Phil and Kathy as they had a fun time talking about the show and the great times they had.

Highlights from the shoot will be added as bonus tracks to the first Land of the Lost DVD coming this summer, so look for it!

I also decided today, after talking at length about any forthcoming Land of the Lost episodes, that we're going to make a big push here at Landofthelost.com for a full run of episodes! It's all in our hands now, a boxed DVD set or a boxed video tape set, you make the call! Look for a posting on the message board with a full petition to present to Rhino.

Thanks also to Phil, Kathy and Mark M. for a great time. And for the next DVDs, I'm driving out to Spencer's and bringing him back with me and I won't take no for an answer!
