River of Lava episode

First let me say that I was completely ticked when TVLand dropped LOTL.

I am looking for the name of the episode where the family found a journal with instructions on how to escape. The episode climaxed with them finding a skeleton near a river of lava they could not pass.

Maybe it was a real episode... maybe I dreamed it up in my head. If it sounds familiar please fill me in.

Anyway to apply pressure to TVLand to get them to start the show up again? That cannot be that great of a time spot... maybe an email address to flood?

The episode is "Follow that Dinosaur" from the first season.

Sandman, that episode ("Follow that Dinosaur") happens to be my favorite. About six months ago, I did the same thing you did and left a message on this board to try and find out which one it was (I think it was on the Favorite Episode board). It left a very distinct memory in my young, Count Chocula-tripped mind.
