On Land Of The Lost whats the name of the baddest Dinosaur ? And what are the pyramid like fixtures created by the Sleestak called ? As best as I can remember there was a Dopey, Grumpy and a Big Alice dinosaur but can't remember which was suppose to be the baddest although I think Grumpy was friendly. and the Pylons I think is what the pyramid things were called but wanted confirmation on this. Can anyone help me here. Hope its soon I have 1 day to find the answer. thanks!!

Hey Izzy,

Dopey was the friendly one, and Alice and Grumpy were both about equally as mean, though Grumpy probably more so.

And Pylons is right!

I think I know the species of the dinosaurs.Grumpy was a tyrannosaurus,Allice was an allosaurus, and I think Dopey was a brontosaurus but its been a while I could be wrong.

Ok,here are the rest of the dinosaur species:
Spike-triceratops
Torchy-dimetrodon (dimetrodon was not a dinosaur,but a mammal-like reptile)
Emily-an adult brontosaurus unlike dopey who was just a baby.
Spot looks something like a bronosaurus on two legs.I dont know what the hell he is.

Spot is a ceolophysis. I believe they're actually related to Tyrannosaurs. The show depicts them as friendly (or at least not dangerous), but they were omnivorous predators.

Thanks Nels.I thought Spot might be a plateosaurus,an ancestor of the brontosaurus, but coelophyses sound abou rite. He's very big for a coelophyses considering they only grew to a length of five feet.

All dinosaurs in LOTL are oversized by 2 to 3 times compared to their "real" counterparts on Earth. Why? The special effects guys probably thought it would look cooler ...

I noticed that old threads are put to the front of the list when someone responds and I felt like bringing back an old thread from the dead.

As to the thread itself, do other people think that all of the dinosaurs are too big?

Nope. I wonder whatever happened to Nels. He used to have a great lotl site and it just disappeared one day.
