Okay, George or anyone out there who is
in the know, we must find bloopers!
Man, LOTL bloopers, that would be a
'holy grail,' for Land of the Lost fans.
Such as, Ta in his role, suddently
forgetting his line and asking for help.
That would be excellent and something
that would be treasured among LOTL fans.

Ha! On another LOTL forum, we've discussed at length some of the bloopers that actually made it on the air! Such as:
In "Skylons", you can pretty clearly hear the production crew laughing when Will tries to chase the multi-colored chickens.
Also, in "Skylons", when Rick tries to use the mirror to communicate with the skylons, Holly asks him if they understood and Rick replies "we have no idea of knowing." Huh?
And in (if memory serves) "Cha-ka", Holly asks Will why the vegetables are so big and he replies, "Dad says it's because of the ground" as if that explains everything.
In "Possession", Holly can clearly be seen using her finger to flick a switch on the rod that makes its light flash.
In "Stranger", Enik's shadow can be seen on the blue sky backdrop outside the Marshalls cave at High Bluff.
Then there's the many, many times when the electrical cord for the matrix tables are quite visible-- Will even makes and effort to step over it in "Split Personality".
There are COUNTLESS examples of these types of flubs that made it to the episodes. We've already GOT bloopers!

WOW! Thanks for the heads up!
If I get a chance to see the episode
"Split Personality..." I will watch
for it, (blooper).
I guess I meant to say 'outtakes'
you know, when they come out of
character.
Very cool,
Thanks.

I always thought that a hilarious out-take would be one of Ta or Sa sitting in their Pakuni costume, explaining something to one of the Marshalls something about physics or calculus or something equally as complex!!
Or, I've thought it would be funny if just after the Marshalls saved one of themselves from the pit, they mistakenly bumped them and knocked them in again. I can just hear Holly down in the pit, laughing! Daddy, Will, you knocked me in again! Helloooo? Can I get another hand, please?!!!

Yeah that would be pretty cool.
Or how about this?
Ta is at the base of High Bluff and
he is angry shaking his spear at
Will and then we see a stream of
water hit him. He groes even more
agitated, "yo nushi pu. tirri!"
Will is tinkling on Ta. And Ta
looks even more foolish.
The camera cuts to will's shoulders
and face as he is laughing, acting
like he is tinkling.
(of course no wide shot).
:) hey lets make up funny incidents
that might have taken place in LOTL
when we 'werent there.'

I could have sworn I heard the Civil War guy in "Downstream" saying "god-damn" right before he shoots the cannon at the Sleestak. That would be pretty strong stuff for a kids show...of course they do it all the time on South Park.

Emwhy:
I swear I heard the same thing! Now that you mention it, I've also thought that he said exactly that! Hmmmm, wonder what everyone else thinks..............

I just put my Embassy tape in the old VCR and cued up the scene in question. It does indeed sound like he said it. But there's a blooper within the blooper. Collie (the soldier) is talking, but his lips aren't moving. The dialogue was dubbed.

In the episode "hurricane", when the family is hiding behide the rocks at the top of the mountain, you can clearly see thier shadows from the "lighting" behind them on the wall as the vortex swallows the pylon and pilot.
I remember an episode where the sleestaks push Mashall in to the monster pit in the sleestak cave. Even thought the pit is really deep you can clearly see that Marshall only lands a few feet from the rim of the pit. His shoe is shown sticking up in the air through the mist. There is even a little bouncing that happens that shows the pit was padded with something springy.

Not really a blooper, just something neat I found while watching my taped-from-tv copy of "Nice Day." Will leaves the family to go fishing, and as he's walking through the forest, right before he runs into Chaka, you can hear him singing the closing theme song. Crank up your volume and you'll hear "Now I need to find my way!"

In Skylons, why in the world did they jump into the watering hole in a thunder storm (Will and Holly had started a storm in the pylon?) I realize they were trying to run away from the dinosaurs (not sure how the watering hole helps that, but oookay)...but a watering hole in an electrical storm???
I was also disappointed that Skylons was the episode on my three-pack of Krofft movies. No Sleestacks!! Which episode has the best Sleestack footage? They were my favorites. Thanks.

Some really good sleestak footage can be found in "The Longest Day" and "Blackout" both from the second season.

Here's another obscenity! In "Hurricane," Beauregard Jackson yells "Get this damn thing away from me" as he hangs from the tree, and Spot's playing with him.
