Vote for Your Favorite Episodes!!

Rhino Home Video has contacted me about which episodes they should release for the next two Land of the Lost tapes. Rather than try and swing it all by myself, I suggested we put it to a vote, so here we go!

You have until Sunday night, April 2nd to vote for which episodes will be included on the two new Rhino Land of the Lost tapes to be released this summer. Four episodes, two per tape, so get cracking!

Votes will be tallied and sent to Rhino late Sunday night. Stand up and be counted, vote today!!!

I forgot to add that the current Volume One already includes The Stranger and Tag Team, and Volume Two includes The Search and The Paku who came to Dinner. So don't waste your votes on those episodes, they are already out on video!

The episodes I would like to see released are "Aftershock"-the first Uncle Jack episode. "The Pylon Express", "Split Personality", "Medusa"-which was a rather good, creepy Uncle Jack story. Also the episodes that featured the clock pylons.

Frankly, I don't care what next four episodes
they release, as long as it's not one of the
nine episodes that are already on video
(including the four released long ago by
Embassy).

Tough call, picking just four, but it's time for the important episodes:

Elsewhen--important because it establishes Holly's future.

Split Personality--important because we see the mirror Marshalls, and was BRILLIANT writing.

Circle--Marshalls get home, sort of, nuff said.

Aftershock--RARELY SEEN, yet most important Uncle Jack episode.

Pylon Express--Shows Earth, that's important.

Musician--one of the most well written children's episodes of any series, of all time.


Why don't they just release the whole series?

They should DEFINITELY put the series pilot out on home video,if only to help orient first-time viewers to what the series is all about.I'd also recommend including the one where a bug bite turns Cha-ka psycho.

All of these scared the hell out of me as a kid BTW and I loved every minute of it!

I also enthusiastically agree with the other dude who said, Release them all!!!

I won a complete set of tapes on yahoo auctions, but I know that some of the scenes were left out, and I would still be interested in having a "professional" set of tapes. The omissions are small, but to a LOTL obsessive, it is annoying! The tapes are awesome, though! Just awesome!!!

Two episodes per tape is just not good enough! They are short, and 4 per tape would be so much better. Also, when can we expect LOTL on DVD (to better appreciate those advanced special effects)?

Thinking about it... I would also have to say that "The Zarn" and "The Flying Dutchman" would also have to be my faves. "The Flying Dutchman" was wierd. Why did they have all these different characters from the third season? These people had nothing to do with the series at all.

Considering that Rhino picked up (The Stranger, Tag Team, The Search and The Paku Who Came To Dinner) where Embassy Home Video left off (Cha-Ka, Dopey, The Sleestack God and Downstream)it seems like the next four should be a continuation of the First Season(1974). Even though my selections are not in direct order in which they were in the series, they are my favorites from the 1974 season that have not yet been released on VHS. So I vote for the release of four Season One episodes (even though I am adamant that the entire series be released on DVD and I believe it must happen). My choices for the new VHS releases are as follows:
TAPE 1. - "Album" and "Skylons"
TAPE 2. - "Hurricane" and "Circle"

Thank you and I look forward to being able to give my continued support for the release of LAND OF THE LOST on DVD or VHS.

Well since i live in Australia i probobly
wont see these video`s,The only Krofft shows
to have come out down here are The Bugaloos,only 2 volumes and HR Pufunstuf,the whole series plus the blooby Movie!!and thats it, what happened to the rest?the better shows i mean?.

What are you people smoking? "Aftershock" is a throwaway episode to introduce Uncle Jack. There are certainly some good Uncle Jack episodes, but "Aftershock" ain't one of 'em!!! What good would it do to include Uncle Jack's premeire when none of the other three episodes will feature him?
