Are Ebay LOTL sets SciFi channel dubs?

Has anyone out there bought any of the LOTL sets off of Ebay?

If so, were they dubs of the SciFi channel marathon they had a long time ago? I'd imagine if they were you could see the little SciFi channel Saturn icon in the lower right corner of the screen.

I've been debating to get a set off of Ebay for about 2 years now but I don't want to get SciFi channel dubs if I can avoid it. I've heard that the SciFi channel edited out some of the content of each episode to make more time for commercials.

If I pony up $70-100 for an entire set I want to make sure I get the whole enchilada if ya know what I mean.

p.s. if the Ebay sets aren't SciFi channel dubs where do you think they came from?

There are no official tapes for people to copy, so these are recorded broadcast copies, and I have heard nothing but horrible stories about their quality.

Yes, all the eBay sets that I have come across are Sci-Fi Channel dubs. That is what my set is. The quality on mine however is alot better than on others I have seen. And yes, they did have an average of 2 minutes cut from each episode. My set came from a guy named Dinoman1967, he also sent me a full set of cool custom made covers for them.

My set is off SciFi channel also, and has lots of cut scenes as I've discovered, but I wouldn't be without it for the world! It's the only way to get a complete set these days! My quality is really good on most of the episodes.

The first video of my set is normal the rest are sci fi copies but I love these.But im wondering about a few episodes I dont seem to have the episode where Spencer falls thourgh the time door to his own world .And I remember an episode when i was young Will and Holly were in the caves and there was another matrix table and time doorway it was opened and they saw kids in a park like Holly saw in Pylon Express and at the end of the episode a sleestak face appeared like it did in the episode about the magic wand and the Pylon.And this was thought to be the creator of this .So there must be some other episodes
