I'm going to have to start the voting with a nod for all the episodes on DVD, since I know they will get watched so often that if they were on tape they would wear out. Not only do I vote for the boxed set, but I'll be the first in line to buy it! Just wanting a boxed set isn't enough, you have to let them know you're serious about buying it too!
43 on DVD, it's my new rally cry.

Sign me up! I am still behind the times in having a VCR but I may get DVD in the near future. Either one is ok by me. Why can't Rhino do both and let people choose, the way you can still order cassette or CD's from the music club?
In whatever format, I want all 43 episodes available to us the general public. Consider this thing is not in eternal re-runs on cable channels.

It's really the only fair thing to do. I just saw a box-set of the Sigmund and the Seamonsters episodes (video, not DVD). LOTL was a lot more popular.

Definately cast my vote for a box set of LOTL. The Pufnstuf and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters fans already have their box sets and gloat over it. We, the LOTL travelers deserve better. Our show was a classic, it had writers who knew what they were doing(ie. D.C. Fontana, Walter Koenig, and Theodore Sturdgeon to name a few). Our show got a remake, a horrible one, nevertheless, it is currently the only Krofft show to get such a treatement. I beleive that there is a market for such a set. Please include me pon the petetion to Rhino video to do the box set.
YES!,I would LOVE to own the series on DVD since I`m now living with my cousin and he just bought a 132cm TV!!!,it would look great
art.
I want them all on DVD. THAT'S where I'll spend the money. Though the video box set is the next best thing. If Rhino does this, I would like them to release the VHS and DVD at the same time. I really hate when companies screw people over and release different versions years apart. I'll only buy this once, so if they want more money for the DVD, treat the customers right.

I would love to see a release of all 43 episodes on both VHS and DVD. Regarding VHS, I would be willing to pay more per tape if four episodes per tape were included, rather than the two per tape now. It would also make it easier for Rhino to release them this way, I think. Right now I have only a VHS player, but I know DVD is the prefered format with good reason by many people, and I think Rhino could make money off releasing them in both formats at once.

First off Rhino, thanks for listening to the fans out there and getting one of our favorite shows on DVD.
No doubt about it I would be at the store first thing in the morning to get a hold of a LOTL DVD Box Set. I just recently got a DVD player and Land of the Lost on DVD was one of the main reasons.
If you could find any outtakes, bloopers, or cut scenes to add that would be awesome (maybe the Kroffts have them locked away in a vault somewhere ;))! The interview disk George has talked about sounds really cool!!!

The Land of the Lost deserves to be released in it's entirety. Both on video and especially on DVD. It was and still is a very important series about hope, cooperation, and mystery.

Yes... I'd sell organs to get a boxed set!
I'd LOVE to also see a special on LOTL much like the one they did for Lost in Space...behind the scenes...cast info....even bring back the cast members for interviews or whatever!

I would love to see (buy) a DVD box set of the original 43 episodes of LOTL. VHS is ok, but for those of you who dont own a DVD player, you seriously need to consider buying one. The prices have gone way down, besides, LOTL will look great on a digital format. Yes, give me the DVD box set....

With 43 episodes it won't be easy to convince the powers-that-be to release a complete set, but BY GOD I WANT ONE! Time to show the rest of the world (meaning those who are not among our happy bunch) what an adventurous, unforgettable series this is. Bring it on, the sooner the better! And on DVD, of course.

Hello all!
It was great to see such an awesome website dedicated to one of the best Saturday morning kid's shows ever made! Seeing all the old photos and listening to the sound clips really took me back!
Absolutely they shoul release all 43 episodes on VHS AND DVD. This is classic TV that, as many other fans have pointed out, has not lost it's depth and appeal - I have nieces and nephews (and someday, hopefully, children of my own), that would eat this stuff up (I occasionally catch glimpses of the crap they have now on Saturday mornings and it makes me glad I grew up in the 70s!)
So, fellow Losties, consider this a resounding YES! to all 43 episodes being released on VHS and DVD! I'll buy 2 if the price is right!

Why release all forty-three episodes of Land of the Lost on video? Simply put, quality shows with values which we watched Saturday mornings on TV, like Land of the Lost, are completely lacking in todays programming. Land of the Lost gives the viewer thirty minutes of captivating entertainment, with lessons along the way and often a moral at the end. Watching todays Saturday morning programming, one is only left with a headache. Scenes are constantly jumping, cutting , changing every ten seconds like a jumping bean on speed. And we wonder why our children are not focused? It seems we have to give everything a label, and now we have concocted something called Attention Deficit Disorder. With the illusion of credibility provided by a label, comes the funding to "cure" it, often with drugs. Perhaps if today's children had shows to watch, like Land of the Lost, which can capture one's imagination for more than ten seconds at a time, "Attention Deficit Disorder" would wither away and die. Todays childrens programming can capture a childs attention, to be certain, but only through unrelentless mental bombardment which leaves even an adult with a glazed look in his eyes. Rhino, please give parents something they can confidently show to their children which will not only capture their attention, but also allow their minds to develope an imagination. My first preference is to have all episodes released on DVD, since I own a DVD player. But you know what, if releasing it on VHS means it will reach more households with children, then I would vote for VHS. Ideally, a concurrent release in both formats would be preferable. Incidentally, I have no children. I am thirty-three years old and would love to see the episodes on DVD even for myself. You see, Rhino, you do not even have to target a certain age bracket. We are all here, waiting for some quality programming. Thanks.

Hello all my friends! I have my computer back from the doctor, at least for a while!!!
I am casting my fond vote for getting all 43 episodes of Land of the Lost on video, because I am without a dvd machine.
It would be so awesome to have the set!! I have a set done off of the TV, but some scenes are missing, so I would definitely want to pick up the complete set!
Thank you for listening, Mr. Rhino!
Thank you for this site, George!

Yes, do this, Rhino!!! Video or DVD; it doesn't matter!!! I'll buy it in one format sooner or later!!!
All 43 episodes of the original LAND OF THE LOST...Where do I sign up? The day Rhino releases them, I'll buy them. DVD or VHS. Even Beta. I still have a betamax and those 25 year old tapes look beautiful. In any event the day rhino releases the entire series, count me in...I'll have the $$$doe for them!!!!!!

Definitely Rhino should wake up to two facts. Number 1, By their tardy manner of bringing the series out on VHS or DVD they are compelling fans to purchase pirated copies on the different auction sites (thus reducing their own consumer base). Number 2, Hello!!! There's a dino craze sweeping America right now (partly due to the Sue exhibition and partly to the Disney movie). What better time to bring out whole series on DVD and VHS???? They need to get with it. Their "release by trickle" theory is losing them customers, rather than gaining them.

Sign me up for a VHS boxed set of all 43 eps!
I bought the 17 ep box of Pufnstuf, and it is awesome!
Without a doubt, Land of the Lost is the best show from my childhood!
Just make sure you include another cool holographic picture on the outside of the box, like you did for Pufnstuf, but make this one a SLEESTAK!!! :-)

Heck yes. DVD would be a perfect way to do this (though I would say that video should probably be done, for those without DVD players). Think of the potential bonus material; I'm sure there is some behind-the-scenes footage out there somewhere, plus the interviews already sound promising for just the one DVD that's coming out.

right now i dont even have a DVD player and still payed 150 bucks for the first xfiles box set on DVD. so you know if something like LOTL comes out im right there. and outtakes and interviews are what DVD is all about, so i would definatly like to see all of that stuff included. as far as VHS i still love the format and always will and some people dont have the money to afford DVD. so i say both formats would be in the best interest for everyone.

Well, the sad fact is that if they released a VHS boxset, I'd buy it. Then when they released it again on DVD, I'd probably buy it again. Arrrggghhh! An example of this: I have the ten tape set from Columbia House, then I bought the Pufnstuf videos from Rhino. Then they released the Pufnstuf boxset of the entire series. Yeah, I bought that too. Sigh, now I'm about to buy the Rhino Pufnstuf DVD for the extras and my preference for the DVD format.
When it comes to Land of the Lost, I stayed up all night recording what few episodes I could get on Pufapalooza (a wonderful idea) several years ago. Then I got the Embassy videos off of E-Bay, then I bought the Rhino videos, I'll soon be buying the DVD, and yes, I'll buy the boxset too. God, am I pathetic or what?
I also bought every tape of the other Krofft shows released by Rhino. I must say that I'm a little bummed that we don't have more episodes available for Dr. Shrinker, Lost Saucer, Bigfoot & Wildboy, etc... I'd even support Krofft by buying Magic Mongo!
Basically, I'd buy any episodes from Krofft that are released. During my childhood, television was my babysitter and Krofft shows were some of my best friends. Please release a full Land of the Lost boxset! Please!!! I'd prefer DVD, but I'll take whatever I can get.
Thank you,
-Jeff!

Now, I am hooked on getting this collection.

Hello ALL:):):)
My name as my profile says-Will_S and I am 28 year old.
If anyone a Rhino may see and i hope they do:):)--Please..PLEASE re-realease a box set of Land of the Lost...ON VIDEO and DVD:):)
Why? you may ask?--simple--There is whole gerneration--People in my generation who sih to see our favorite show again for pure enjoyment and to re-live our childhoods:):)
This is great, classic TV show and It should be enjoyed by our children as they grow up too.
As I know, there will be a few shows released on DVD but I would liek to see all 43 released that way, the poeple who are true fans and collectors could watch all the episodes anytime they wanted too:):)
For me, I grew up watching this show and it had a positive experince for me--It taught me lessons for kid which are essential--Family Vaules, Helping others and having good, clean fun as well:):)
If I had the chance, I would write to the cast members whom I saw every Staurday and say Thank You for bring to life a show that I love and I can say that with pride:):)
My friends say I am crazy to believe in this shoe but I love it-actually, my friends now compare me to Rick Marsahll-saying that I am his prototype in the way I live my life--and I tell them in a rhetorical question..."Is this a bad thing?"..My answer to that is "NO"--I think it's a great thing that I am compared to Rick Marshall--I living proof that I know right from wrong, that I could survive by myself if I had too--That I know family values and I love my family and that I would do anything to keep them safe.
That is what I think that Kids need today--A good, clean show that is fun, educational and it teaches at the same time but treating the audeince like an adult--by providing stimulating experinces for the viewer. The viewer is treated like an equal to that of the Marshalls. They could even envison themselves in that situation too. How many young men--my age..thought of themselvs as A Rick Or Will Marshall and thought they could act the way they did. How many young women wanted to be like Holly. People of my generation love this show ALOT:):)
This showe brings back great memories for me as child and I would like to share these memories with my children too. I hope that they could share in the happiness that I did when I originally saw the shows as I grew up in the 70's:):)
Please people at RHINO--PLEASE release the Land of the Lost on DVD so that we may presereve a TV classic and at the same time be able to watch our favorite show anytime we wanted too.
Thank You for Reading my message and take care:):)
Will_S
P.S.--Yes, I was named after Will Marshall on Land of the Lost:):):)-if you are wondering:):):)-even though I am compared to Rick Marshall these days:):)

I would love to see the episodes on DVD! VHS may be cheaper but I think the quality of DVD cannot be ignored. I want them to last as long as my memories have! I loved the show in the 70s as a kid and I can't wait to see it again with my own children. The kid's shows today cannot come close to what we had back then. Quality like that of the LOTL is gone forever.
Thanks for the opportunity to speak and re-live some wonderful childhood memories!

It is a case of I MUST HAVE!!!!!
I will purchase the boxed set of DVDs the day that they are released just as I have done with Volume 1 DVD and volumes 3 and 4 VHS!
I WILL BUY ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that you release of this Classic Saturday Morning Show.
Thank you for all you have done for us so far!

I love them all, I grew up with all of them, it really kept me going with great entertainment as a child, I'd love to be able to own all of my favorite episodes...so please please please release all of your shows on Box set, I know I would buy them all as Im sure the rest of people on this message board would too.

Definitely will buy a boxed set of LOTL. Except for those episodes where their uncle comes and there's a three-headed dinosaur for some reason. Also, I want every copy of every episode of the remake to be completely and utterly destroyed. Can they do that? I'll help.

I want all 43 on DVD! Although, Im a bit dissapointed that the first DVD isnt eps 1-4. It's all scattered. it doesnt really give the impression that Rhino will be committed to release ALL of them if the ones they ARE releasing arent in order.

I want this item more than any other Saturday morning artifact. I want all 43 episodes of LOTL.
Land of the Lost provided me with great Saturaday mornings and I can still hear the Slestack hissing.
I think all 43 episodes on DVD's at a special price is an excellent idea.

Sign me up for the "43 on DVD", just got the first DVD today (along with Sigmund and Pufnstuf) - can't wait to get up tomorrow morning (a saturday) and throw them in. Heck, I may even have to go get some Cap'n Crunch. Thanks for the work so far Rhino, now lets get the rest of these classics on DVD.

I, too, cast my vote for Rhino to
release a 43 episode-box set. I
just ordered the first DVD today
-- I'd much rather order the
entire lot.
As I told Rhino in a message sent
directly to them, there are a lot
of us mid-to-late thirty-
somethings out here with money to
spend -- you want it, Rhino,
release the box-set.

I cast my vote for LOTL complete set on DVD! I have bought all 6 seasons of boxed "Highlander" sets and will jump at the chance to get a complete collection of LOTL. I would hope that Rhino would put some extras in the boxed set like the "highlander" people do. I'm talking about a poster, productions stills, maybe a new action figure or prop replica... and definately a bonus DVD with cast & crew interviews, out-takes, production notes and tid bits about the series. I hope Rhino would do something like this for us true fans. I would buy it today! Go Rhino!

Would you believe I ALREADY emailed Dr. Rhino, before I even came across this board?
I love the old Krofft shows, and except for the few I was able to tape off Nick at Nite years ago, I haven't been able to watch them.
You want to know how much I want a boxed set of LOTL?
I don't even HAVE a DVD player--but I would run out and get one if they put a boxed LOTL DVD set out. That much.
Thing is, this is one show you don't want to see in bits and pieces. Yes, we're being nostalgic for our youth here, but it was a really good show and you don't get the full effect unless you can see them tell the story from week to week.
How come the Pufnstuffers get all 17 eps, and we can't even get all of season one in order? I'd settle for that, believe me. But no reason to settle.
GIVE US OUR BOXED SET OR WE'RE GOING TO GET GRUMPY.
In more than one sense of the phrase. ;-)

C'mon Rhino, bring on the DVD box set of Land of the Lost! Look at the X-Files season 1 box to see how to do it: for 100 clams you get 24 hour-long episodes in chronological order on 6 DVDs. You could easily fit all 43 eps in a box set like that; or split the seasons up and sell three smaller box sets (like the Avengers or Monty Python sets). I personally would prefer the one big box but either way want ALL of the episodes on DVD (without having to buy each one separately ala Star Trek TOS or The Twilight Zone). Throw on an extra disc with new interviews with the cast and creative team, any surviving behind the scenes footage or bloopers, promos and commercials, how about some pics of surviving props and costumes-close ups of the dinosaur puppets and sleestack costumes would be top-one! Cool artwork on the box-some sleestacks, a pylon, the Marshalls going over the falls in the raft, Cha-Ka and some dinosaurs-man, I'm drooling over it already! We want the Land of the Lost box set (and we want it now)!

YES! I want the 43 episodes!!! I would prefer to have them in VHS (I imagine the cool packaging). But, anyway, if getting this collection on DVD is not a good reason to buy one, I don't know what is.
I wonder if the package woul include any extra footage....

08-29-2000, 08:54 PM
YES!!!
I would buy all the episodes on either VHS or DVD, and I don't even have a DVD player. But I would buy one in a heartbeat to watch these incredible shows from my childhood.
Of course, I would only watch them on Saturday mornings with a bowl of sugary cereal. I would have to go out and buy some really large pajamas with the feet built in though.
Seriously, if this many people are willing to spend the money on these shows, just think of the others who would buy them if they knew they existed. I didn't even know there was a website devoted to LOTL, until about an hour ago. Kudos to the person who created it. I got all misty eyed when I first saw the pictures and went through the episode guide.
So please bring on the tapes or DVD's!!!

As a child Land of the Lost was my all time favorit show. I remember doing all kinds of chores very early Saturday morning, which was the rule in our house, before we could watch "cartoons", so I could watch each week. I would love to see a complete set of 43 videos (or dvd) available. The few times I have seen the show in the more recent years it has brought back many memories. If is far superior to the newer version...not necessacerily in graphics, but is plot and story line. I would buy the set...so let's see it out.

Hey Land of the Lost fans. I am voting for the release of all Land of the lost episodes on both DVD and video boxed set and sold seperatly. I watched this show every chance I got and I even have a couple of old recordings on Beta cassette that have

I have not seen Land of the Lost in some time but enjoyed watching it with my children when they were home. It was a different kind of show at the time and My kids were glued to the tv when it was on. Im sure that a vhs version would be wonderful for those of us who have one. DVD is great too so for those who have one I think it would be equally as great to have. Which ever or even both would make someone like me happy, Im not hard to please but would enjoy them if I could get them.

Allow me to add my short request for a full compilation release of all of the episodes from the original Land of the Lost. I would prefer the DVD format as it would be far superior and frankly cost effective for the whole lot. Please oh please make this a reality as I do not care to obtain the series in short teasing segments. Furthermore, if I was to do that...I may very well place my money elsewhere and obtain the whole collection via another LOTL enthusiast. Now wouldn't my money be better spent on an official release? Something to think about Rhino...
I would love to see them all on DVD, put me on the list!!!

Rhino: There is definitely a big market for a Land of the Lost box set of all 43 episodes! I will buy it IMMEDIATELY upon it's release! I have MANY friends who will do the same thing! Release it on BOTH DVD and VIDEO. That way, more people (everyone) can buy it. It's easy money. All it will take is for enough people to find out about it - For example a commercial on TV land or the Sci-Fi channel. I guarantee that there are a TON of people who will jump at the chance to purchase this set. All we need to do is make it known. Go For It!

Hi LOTL fans!
I was born 1974, the premier year for LOTL. Even though my brother were only old enough to catch the reruns of LOTL, it was a Saturday morning ritual for us nonetheless.
It's funny my brother and his girlfriend mentioned something about LOTL the other day. I thought to myself, there has to be a website. And sure enough, here I am. So, here's my vote for all 43 episodes on DVD and VHS. I would take down 10 Sleestaks for it!

A boxed set of all 43 episodes of the classic Land Of the Lost series would be an exceptional addition to my video library. This show was ultra-cool, I remember it on Saturday mornings when I was a kid, growing up in the 70's. It was something truly unique and special, the genius it took to marry film and video, and the special effects were terrific. I would highly recommend issuing this as an official release on either dvd or video, I would be among the first to own it. Another thing that would be great would be outtakes, extra footage and possibly additional interviews, which would no doubt add to the value of their collectibility. I anxiously await!

I will immediately buy any "complete" box set of all of the Land of the Lost episodes on DVD when offered. Price is no object, though I would estimate something in the range of $100-$150. I don't really want to purchase the first DVD issue as they are randomly selected episodes. This franchise is too important to not be released in a comprehensive and chronological format.
Best regards,
Saturnian
I love LOTL! I would immediately snap up the complete set of DVDs!

Before I die I would like to see all the episodes of the original lotl again. I can't think of one Saturday morning show that meant more to me than lotl. Just last night I found out a good friend of mine was a fan as well so we watched the first two volumes that I have and reminisced about how much that show meant to us. It really brought us together considering he grew up a poor black kid in New York City and I a middle class kid from the rural parts of KY. Something about this show brings people together and I wish I had the whole collection on DVD or video!

I am planning to buy all of the DVD's but would rather purchase them all in one set!
Land of the Lost was so damn original and totally opened up my imagination when I was a kid. I plan to let my future children enjoy many hours of wholesome fun with those DVD's. Holly was a great example for young girls, when most shows depict girls as weak boy-dependant super consumers.
Make that 43 episode box of DVD's happen!!!

It sure would be nice if all (43) episodes were available on either DVD or VHS chronological format at a reasonable price! I enjoyed the series many years ago and it helped captivate my insatiable interest in dinosaurs. Aliens, Deep Blue Sea, Disney Dinosaur, Godzilla, Independence Day, Jurasic Park, Lake Placid, Lost World, Mighty Joe Young, Starship Troopers, Star Wars: Episode I, T2 X-Men; they're all good examples of what can be done using todays computer imagery technology and I fully expect to see many new and exciting creature and sci-fi movies released in the future. But classics like the 'Land of the Lost' remain part of my precious past and would like to have the entire collection to re-live some of my better childhood experiences/memories and perhaps share them w/ some of my friends.

Yes!!!! 43 on DVD!!!! We *must* get back all of the 43 episodes!! LOTL was by far, the most interesting S&M Krofft show for me as a kid, and I would even say that I found it intellectually stimulating! ^_^ I would have just as much fun watching it now, and showing it to my son. I would love very much to share this with him. Heck, I see no reason why it shouldn't be aired again on T.V. and shared with our entire offsprung generation! Well, anywho, 43 on DVD certainly has *my* vote!! ^_^

I work at a Suncoast in a mall in High Point North Carolina, and when I ordered volume 3 of the two episode packs I wondered what fans of the show had voted. I guess now I know. Anyone in my area that reads this will get a 35% off discount if and when the box set comes out if you prove to me you're on the mailing list!

By all means. Please release the entire series. LOTL is one of the most imaginative shows that ever was. It provides very thought-provoking storylines, and while the special effects were a product of its time, the relevance of the episodes remain. Easy sale!

ATTENTION RHINO!
I am posting my vote for a third and final time to let my voice be known that I strongly support the release of the entire series (43 episodes) of LAND OF THE LOST as a boxed set release in VHS Format.
YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR... The release of a LAND OF THE LOST boxed set will be an instant sell out in stores. Once the word is out that the series has been released, the boxed set will sell and sell and sell. Just the intense enthusiasm of support by LandoftheLost.com members and the sales of the first Land of the Lost DVD should be proof enough to further support a boxed set release. Consumers will spread the word and a generation of Adult Children of Sid and Marty Productions Viewers will pass their legacy onto a new generation of children, all thanks to Rhino Video.
Just the other day, I was in a Suncoast Motion and Picture Company store and happen to overhear a woman talking to hear daughter about HR Pufnstuf. She explained to her daughter that this was the show she use to watch as a little girl and then proceeded to name all the characters on the boxed set package to her. The child was responding with wonderment and intrigue. I could not help but feel a warm glow inside to being an observer to this mother/daughter exchange. I instantly thought of the timelessness of Sid and Marty Kroft's shows and how great it is that we now have the opportunity to purchase these classics to share with our children.
Thank you Rhino Video for making this possible. We just now ask that you finish what you have begun and release one of their greatest achievements: LAND OF THE LOST. Please make it possible for us to enjoy the adventures of the Marshall Family once again and for many years to come.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Mark Lenon

George, are you the man to speak to about forwarding enthusiastic requests to Rhino for the beloved LOTL box set? Here's my message:
LISTEN UP RHINO...WANT TO SEE DEMAND??? JUST GO TO EBAY AND YAHOO AUCTIONS AND CHECK OUT HOW MANY BOOTLEGGED COPIES OF ENTIRE SETS ON VHS GET BOUGHT AND SOLD IN A 2 WEEK PERIOD.
LOOK AT ALL THE POTENTIAL BUSINEES YOU ARE LOSING EVERY DAY THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THIS AVAILABLE. WE ARE STUCK WITH POOR QUALITY BOOTLEGGED TAPES BECAUSE NOTHING ELSE IS AVAILABLE...PEOPLE WILL PAY ANYTHING FOR THIS SET ON DVD.....WE'RE PATIENTLY WAITING AND WON'T STOP BOTHERING YOU ABOUT IT UNTIL IT IS DONE......SO WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR???
This message was originally sent by CANDYFIEND4@CS.COM (Christian McNeil). My name is James Galusha. I sent several emails to you in November 2000 beseeching you to release the Land Of The Lost box set on VHS and DVD. I was preparing to compose a new, even more compelling request for this set when I came across this message. I realized I couldn't come up with anything more compelling than this. This is what corporations understand. Money. Moolah. Cabbage. Dough. Etc. And, I will not stop bothering you until it is done, either! So, let's go! We are waiting to give you our money! It is indeed burning a hole in our collective pocket! Unless you want your email system clogged with messages about this, I strongly suggest you release this set and start collecting your income! Thank you!
Yours in honesty and forthright expression,
James Galusha
Looks like the box set movement has been going on for a while now. I really hope it's helping. I'll definitely buy at least one DVD box set.

as a new user to your site (and a long time LOTL fan), I am thrilled to think about a boxed set becoming available! I too am in the stone ages when it comes to technology (still own a vcr..no dvd). But this would give me one more reason to get with the program and finally get a DVD. I would rather see a choice of VCR or DVD, but will take what I can get! Again, great site - glad to see I'm not the only LOTL junkie out there (although, I do have to give my opinion that the new LOTL is nowhere near comparable to the original!)

Land of the Lost was my favorite childhood show. I even played hookey for a day in first grade so my parents could take me to a live taping of Land of the Lost in Hollywood! It was a seminal event in my young life, and played a major influence in shaping me into the video professional I am today. The opportunity to own the boxed set, and to share these great Krofft moments with my children is fantastic.

I watched the only Land of the Lost DVD release (so far!) last night and I was very pleased. I have bought the tapes previously but now that VHS is dead, let's see all 43 episodes on DVD!!! DVD has the capabilities to release all the episodes is a fairly compact box set with lots of room for extras!
It would be easy to do & you would make a bunch of money. I loved the extra interviews on the DVD and would love to see more extras in the future! I am disappointed to see that Land of the Lost volume 3 & 4 have only been released on tape. Since I will only buy DVD, I am waiting on those to be released. When are they coming?
I would also like a CD of all the original Krofft songs (especially the end credits Land of the Lost theme). I know that there was a CD with a bunch of remakes but I want the originals with CD quality! (if there is one that exists, please advise)
Thanks for the forum & great website!

It was 1975. About 6:00AM in the morning. My sister and I are beginning our Saturday morning, watching cartoons. Our favorite being "Land of the Lost." I am immediately intrigued, amazed and want to take on the roles of all the characters.
Grumpy is always looking for a meal but ends up with tree trunk in his mouth. Wonder how he always got it out. Will and Holly seem to always find trouble in the lost city. The episode where they imagine seeing their mother is one to remember. And what child did not pretend they were Slestaks.
"Land of the Lost" is full of imagination, suspense and history. Children imagined they were acutally in the lost city, searching for a way home. They also wish they found a pet dinosaur in their backyard.
Unlike the violent and unattractive cartoons of today, that have no educational impact on a child's future, Land of the Lost allowed kids to use their imagination. It encouraged children to study about dinosaurs.
Children of the 70's who are just now beginning to have families would see this series and invaluable. Helping the families of today means helping them remember their childhood memories. Rhino Home Video has the ability to do that, particularly with today's latest technology.
The benefit is the lives you will affect, today and tomorrow.
Best Regards,
Marty Puentes

As an advid collector of DVDs I can't imagine my collection without "Land Of The Lost". I can honestly say that my love of science fiction and dinosaurs began with me watching LOTL as a kid on Saturday mornings. So Rino put all 43 episodes of "Land Of The Lost" on DVD and VHS so that the youth and the kids-at-heart of today can enjoy the memories I had as a kid. Remember the visions and the ideas that made "Jurassic Park" what it is today had to start somewhere!

I thought this show had disappeared from the minds and hearts of people everywhere! Was I relieved to find this site! I want my son (age 7) to experience "Land of the Lost", to imagine, as I used to, what it would be like to live among the dinosaurs and "other" creatures! He hasn't been poisoned by modern cartoons that are based on violent video games and I want him to know what fun was when I was his age!
I would be extremely interested in purchasing a 43 episode box set of Land of the Lost original series. As far as format goes...I would be happy with VHS or DVD just so I can have the episodes but If I actually had a choice, nothing beats DVD.

I would love to see a DVD collection/box set of Land of the Lost. I wasn't around when it originally aired, but when I was about 12 or 13 it would show every morning at about 7 a.m., and I would get up extra early to watch it. Every day in the summer, I would not sleep in just to see it, and it became a necessary part of my life. There was something about the show that grabbed me.... Possibly the extreme surreality, or the super cool Sleestaks! WE WANT LOTL ON DVD NOW!
