Hello I just wanted to say that I thought that Spencer Milligan's character (Rick Marshall) was a great representation of what a father should be. I know we're talking about a 70's kid show but I think it's important for kid's to have good examples. Mr. Milligan, if you read this my hat's off to you!

I second that even though he did send his kid out into a jungle full of dinosaur to get water and food all the time. but hey if they were going to live there then they would have to be able to survive ... but I know what you mean and I do agree that he would have made a cool Dad to have ... fo rthat matter I remember as a kid thinking it would be cool to live in the land of the lost.
Yes I know I am replying to an old post.

I agree that the Rick Marshall character is a fine example of what a good father should be...but I also feel that Uncle Jack represents that one "Cool Uncle" everyone has (and my nieces and nephews claim that I am!!)
All in all. I think the Marshalls are a good example of what a family should be. :)

I definately agree. Rick marshall was the prime father figure and Uncle Jack was good as well. They both definately had their good points and bad points which have been examined in different threads on this board.
Hey Paul, it's good to see another Ohioan on this board as well. I'm down just south of Sandusky (Cedar Point).

Me too, I'm watching the DVDs with my daughter and learning how Marshall taught Holly good examples such as the Dopey pet situation, making friends with Chaka, setting the table, etc.

Does anybody know anything about Holly, married?, kids?, Upcoming movies/shows?, what she's doing?, if she'll be in the LOTL movie?

I thought I remember will saying that she's got two sons so I'm assuming she was at least married at one time but I think she divorced and re-married if I remember right. Will said it during one of the episodes in Season 1 when they were doing commentary together. I don't remember which episode though.

thanks tia
2 sons, that does sound familiar. It was great to see her on the dvd commentary with Wesley. She still has that great smile, hard to keep in this insane world. Thanks for all the great memories.

Holly, if you're reading this I Love You. I just wanted you to know that. If I wasn't married I'd move out to California. Does anybody know anything about Holly, married?, kids?, Upcoming movies/shows?, what she's doing?, if she'll be in the LOTL movie?
+++ Kathy married in 1980, divorced in 1987, two sons born in 1981 and 1983. She does scifi cons occasionally, but works primarily in retail. Last I knew, she was running a fashion boutique of some sort, don't know details on that though.
BTW, I'm NOT married and would love to have dinner with her. Union Pacific Railroad (I'm a locomotive engineer) has sent me two recruitment letters in the past year, both begging for experienced engineers in California. But I cannot see myself in that state, but of course, certain things COULD alter that perception! :D
