Have you ever seen an actor or actress in a movie or TV show and said to yourself I don't know who that guy or gal is but they played bit parts in just about everything in the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, etc.

Here is a fun website that has little thumbnail pics and names to go with the faces of these famous character actors. When you click on their name it gives you their career stats and some interesting factoids regarding their career.

I'm willing to bet you'll recognize at least 5 faces from each page! Check it out:

Pretty Cool-I went and checked it out. Might come in handy when your like "who is that guy,i've seen him before" because you can look them up by the show you are watching then it will show what they've been in. Might solve some arguments with the wife too when she says "he/she wasn't in that" and i say "was so!" HaHa
Laterrrrrrrrrrrr

Character actors are often so much better than the leading role types, just looknat Harry Dean Stanton.

If you haven't seen the 1984 cult film Repo Man yet go rent it today ;) . http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087995/

Harry Dean Stanton rawks in it.

One of my fav sequences in the movie HDS tries convinces a kid named Otto (Emilio Estevez before he became famous) to help him repo a car by telling him some BS story about his wife going into labor in a bad neighborhood.

He says he needs Otto's help to drive his wife's car back to his house and tells him there's $20 in it for him. Otto follows HDS back to a repo lot and Otto is confused so he says:

Otto:What happened to your old lady?
Bud: My old lady? Oh, shit, I forgot all about her. Well, she'll take the bus. She's a rock. :D

It also has another awesome character actor in it named Tracey Walter that steals the show in more than a few scenes. http://www.what-a-character.com/cgi-bin/display.cgi?id=982803861

Classic movie, there are so many quoteable lines in it. It has such an original feel to it that it could never be remade today.

Rent it today if you're tired of renting the same old schtick and looking for something original.

My favorite bit part actor who seemed to show up in everything was the late Vince Schiavelli. The guy was in everything from "The Gong Show Movie" to "Rescue From Gilligan's Island" to "Night Shift", "Ghost", "Batman Returns" to "Man On The Moon" and alot of others.
He actually was a major character in a not so well-known movie from the 1980's called "Kidco" ( also with Scotty Schwartz), which is one of my favorite movies ever!!

Thanks for the link Mike...great site!! :)
