Sleestak/NBA connection revisited!

On the old message board someone made a crack about a possible Sleestak/NBA connection. There is a Chaka board on this site and I asked the guy who played Chaka about the guys who played Sleestak. He said they were all basketball players. If you go to the Chaka board and click on Happy One you can read the exchange. During the opening credits of "The Sleestak God" I noticed the name William(Bill)Laimbeer as a guest star. The Detroit Pistons had a center by that same name----COINCIDENCE????????

No coincidence at all!

They recruited tall folks to play Sleestak, and where do tall people hang out? The basketball court of course.

In fact, according to everything I have read on the subject, all the Sleestak were played by high school or college basketball players. Some happened to go on to careers in the NBA, but they can never leave their LOTL roots far behind!
