This is the Land of the Lost Little Golden Book published by Golden Press in 1975.

Titled "The Surprise Guest", the book tells the story of how a large group of Pakuni finds a dinosaur egg and wants Holly to cook it for them.

The fun begins when the egg hatches and out pops a baby dinosaur who thinks Chaka is it's mother.

My copy is a little rough around the edges, but you get the general idea.
