Statement Issued From Rodney Sheppard; Guitarist for Sugar Ray

Los Angeles, CA - September 8, 1999 - Rodney Sheppard, guitarist for the band Sugar Ray today issued the following statement regarding false rumors about his playing the character Chaka on the 1973-76 TV show Land of the Lost: "Numerous broadcasts have suggested that I played the role of Chaka in Land of the Lost. For the record, I never played Chaka, and I apologize to both Phil Paley, who did, and to the fans of Land of the Lost for not correcting this information sooner."
