This is the Land of the Lost Tell-A-Tale Book made by Whitman in 1975.

Entitled "the Dinosaur Adventure", this book tells the tale of the whacked out Professor Potts who was cruising around in his spaceship and was blown off course in a time storm.

He ditches out in the Land of the Lost, and decides to hang around and study the dinosaurs.

I would go on, but I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone who might not have read it.
